The company has a strong B2B and retail presence across key markets in India, and is on a high-growth trajectory, expanding its footprint across the country. Role Summary The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution, and executing go-to-market strategies across the Northern region. This is a leadership role that involves overseeing a team of Area Sales Managers and Executives, ensuring aggressive market penetration and revenue delivery across general trade, modern trade, and institutional channels. Key Responsibilities - Lead the regional sales team and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. - Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies aligned with business goals. - Monitor distributor network health appointment, performance, ROI, and claim management. - Execute retail visibility and promotional plans in coordination with marketing. - Track competition, consumer behavior, and channel dynamics to identify market opportunities. - Ensure high standards of customer service, order fulfillment, and channel satisfaction. - Drive productivity metrics: outlet coverage, distributor ROI, range selling, etc. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning activities for the region. - Coach, mentor, and upskill the team to build a high-performing sales organization. Candidate Profile - 1015 years of sales experience in FMCG/Food/Agro sectors, with at least 35 years in a regional or zonal sales leadership role. - Strong experience in General Trade is a must; Modern Trade and HoReCa/Institutional exposure is a plus. - Proven track record in team handling, distribution management, and market development. - Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities. - Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and execution skills. - Willingness to travel extensively within the region. Qualification - Graduate in any discipline (mandatory) - MBA in Sales/Marketing or related fields (preferred)
