Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for managing the entire sales and business development activities at the Zonal level within the Loan Against Property (LAP) Vertical.

This role requires proven expertise in secured lending, strategic planning, and managing large, geographically dispersed teams to drive high-volume business and achieve market share goals.

The incumbent is directly responsible for leading and managing a team of Sales Managers, focusing on maintaining high engagement and motivation levels to build a strong performing sales culture.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager with deep domain knowledge in the Loan Against Property (LAP) product segment to lead the entire Zonal sales function. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and implementing aggressive sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and driving robust revenue growth. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day sales operations, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and internal standards, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and building and nurturing a high-performing team of managers and sales executives.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Deliverables

Sales Strategy & Business Development:

- Develop & implement comprehensive strategies to drive sales and market penetration across the designated zone for the LAP portfolio.

- Identify & capitalize on new business opportunities in untapped geographical areas, customer segments, or through new strategic channel partnerships.

- Drive the achievement of challenging sales targets, revenue goals, and market share objectives for the Loan Against Property vertical.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

- Lead & manage a team of Sales Managers and their respective teams within the LAP Vertical, providing consistent mentorship and performance feedback.

- Ability to manage and build a strong performing team through effective recruitment, training, and talent development initiatives.

- Ensuring that the engagement and motivation levels are high in the team through positive leadership, rewards programs, and clear career path communication.

Operations, Compliance & Customer Focus:

- Oversee operations, ensuring efficiency in loan processing, underwriting coordination, and post-sanction activities.

- Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies, lending guidelines, and external regulatory requirements governing the secured lending (LAP) business.

- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt service delivery and effective resolution of customer issues.

Reporting & Cross-Functional Alignment:

- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence to senior management.

- Collaborate effectively with Credit/Underwriting, Operations, and Risk teams to streamline the loan lifecycle and resolve bottlenecks.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Domain Expertise: Strong, mandatory experience in the Loan Against Property (LAP) or secured lending vertical.

Leadership: Proven track record to Lead & manage a team of Managers and drive high performance at a Zonal level.

Strategy: Ability to Develop & implement strategies to drive sales and Identify & capitalize on new business opportunities.

Compliance: Experience in overseeing operations and ensuring strict adherence to compliance and internal policies.

Team Management: Demonstrated ability in managing and building a strong performing team with high engagement.

Preferred Skills

- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.

- Deep knowledge of local property markets, legal due diligence processes, and valuation methodologies.

- Experience in launching new products or expanding into new geographies within the LAP domain.

- Proficiency in using CRM and sales analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.
