Regional Sales Manager Insurance Broking
Location: Mumbai
Reports To: Zonal Business Head
Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing sales performance, and expanding the client base within the assigned region for the insurance broking business. The role involves building strong relationships with corporate clients and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify new business opportunities across corporate, SME, and retail insurance segments (General, Health, Life as applicable).
- Drive cross-selling and up-selling initiatives through effective account penetration.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure competitive pricing, product support, and special schemes.
Client Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key corporate and institutional clients.
- Resolve escalations related to quotations, policy issuance, endorsements, and claims.
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to deliver superior client service.
Operational & Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, company policies, and broking code of conduct.
- Oversee timely documentation, proposal submissions, and compliance reporting.
- Monitor renewal pipeline and ensure high retention rates.
Market Intelligence:
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging customer needs.
- Provide inputs to the leadership team for product development and business planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA with 7-10 years of experience in insurance broking.
- Strong understanding of EB and Non-EB products.
- Proven experience in managing regional sales operations and meeting revenue targets.
