Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
- Drive market share and volume growth across product categories.
- Ensure effective product placement, visibility, and availability in modern trade, general trade, and institutional sales channels.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Strengthen distribution network and expand reach in urban and rural markets.
- Manage and build strong relationships with distributors, stockists, wholesalers, and key retailers.
- Monitor secondary sales and ensure optimum stock levels across channels.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Sales Officers, and Field Executives.
- Drive performance management, coaching, and motivation for field staff.
- Conduct regular market visits to support and guide the team.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and consumer insights to devise effective sales strategies.
- Provide timely feedback on pricing, promotions, and product performance.
- Implement trade promotions, schemes, and new product launches effectively in the region.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor collections, credit control, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Track KPIs such as sales growth, numeric & weighted distribution, productivity, and ROI.
- Ensure compliance with company standards in execution, branding, and merchandising.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
- Proven track record in FMCG sales and distribution management.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / MBA preferred (Sales & Marketing specialization is an advantage).
- 812 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 35 years in a managerial role handling a region.
- Strong knowledge of General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and emerging channels.
