Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing state-wise sales strategies aligned with national business goals, leading multi-level sales teams, and driving revenue growth across [3 states] TN ,Kerala, AP & TL. The role demands strong leadership in distribution management, team building, market expansion, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute state-wise sales strategies aligned with national sales objectives.
- Lead revenue planning and ensure achievement of both primary and secondary sales targets.
- Build, manage, and mentor strong field teams including RSMs, ASMs, SOs, and FSI teams across the assigned states.
- Appoint, nurture, and monitor Super Stockists and Distributors, ensuring effective servicing
and healthy ROI.
- Track monthly performance vs targets and take timely corrective action where needed.
- Drive market visibility, in-store execution, and compliance with merchandising guidelines.
- Lead new product launches and ensure GTM execution through the field force and channel partners.
- Identify high-potential markets for expansion and recommend resource reallocation as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing for regional promotions, campaigns, and activations.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess ground realities and gather market intelligence.
- Streamline regional operations including order flow, stock movement, claim settlement, and scheme implementation.
- Review and optimize credit policies, monitor outstanding payments, and maintain distributor hygiene.
- Ensure training, skill development, and performance tracking of the field sales team.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights to management.
- Manage regional escalations, lead key account discussions, and drive retail engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with supply chain, accounts, and trade marketing teams to ensure operational alignment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 815 years of experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods sales, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth across multiple states.
- Strong distribution network management and team leadership skills.
- Ability to manage high-pressure, target-driven environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in market analysis, competitor tracking, and sales forecasting.
- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
