Regional Sales Manager - CRE (Commercial Real Estate Group)
Description:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Real Estate group is responsible for leading the sales function within a defined geographical area. This includes driving business for a range of mortgage-based products, such as home loans, Prime LAP, loans against property (LAP), and builder finance. The RSM develops and executes sales strategies, manages a team of Area Sales Managers (ASM) and other sales personnel, and oversees channel partner relationships to achieve business targets.
Roles and responsibilities:
Business growth and strategic planning
- Target achievement: Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region.
- Market analysis: Study local real estate market trends, competitor activities, and customer need to identify growth opportunities.
- Strategy development: Design and implement sales strategies tailored to the region to maximize business acquisition and profitability.
- Channel development: Grow and manage multiple sales channels, including Direct Selling Agents (DSAs), builders, connectors, and open market relationships.
Team leadership and management
- Team management: Lead, motivate, and train a team of ASMs and sales professionals to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Performance monitoring: Set clear performance parameters, monitor progress against targets, and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Recruitment and training: Assist in the hiring of sales talent and manage their ongoing professional development and training.
- Team engagement: Foster a positive, compliant, and high-performance sales culture to drive employee satisfaction and retention.
Channel and customer relationship management
- Partner management: Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key channel partners, such as builders and DSAs.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with cross-functional internal teams, including credit, operations, and risk, to ensure a seamless and positive experience for customers and partners.
- Customer experience: Ensure the highest levels of customer service and address any escalated customer complaints.
Operational and compliance oversight
- Process adherence: Ensure that all sales activities and loan processes comply with company policies and external regulatory guidelines.
- Risk management: Monitor and manage risks associated with loan sourcing, processing, and disbursements within the region.
- Reporting: Track and report on sales performance metrics, business results, and market insights to senior management.
- Sales promotions: Oversee the implementation of promotional activities and contests for the region.
Required qualifications and skills
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; a postgraduate degree is often preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the home loan, mortgage, or housing finance sector.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in sales management, with a track record of successfully managing teams and multiple locations.
