RSM - General Trade
Role Purpose:
- Build the General Trade business almost from scratch in the assigned region
- Establish a complete distribution network and a high- performing sales team
- Drive market expansion, retail availability, and sales execution
- Identify, evaluate, and appoint Super Stockists and Distributors.
- Build a complete distribution network including SS, distributors, and sub- stockists.
- Ensure distributor infrastructure readiness, ROI viability, and compliance.
- Create and execute GT launch and regional expansion plans.
- Improve numeric and weighted distribution across categories.
- Develop route- to- market strategies and beat plans for beverages and foods.
- Achieve monthly primary sales targets with efficient billing and dispatch planning.
- Drive strong secondary sales through structured market execution and team coverage.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales via SO/TSI reporting and analytics.
- Balance primary and secondary sales to maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Manage trade schemes, claim settlements, activations, and inventory norms.
- Recruit, train, and lead ASMs, SOs, TSIs, and merchandisers.
- Analyze GT market trends, pricing, competition, and execution gaps.
- Plan and deliver monthly/annual targets with focus on distribution, visibility, and retailer engagement.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and wholesalers, ensuring smooth commercial negotiations.
Key Requirements:
- MBA from Top B Schools with 3+ years of FMCG General Trade experience
- Age bracket 30- 38 yrs
- Proven experience in launching new regions or building business from scratch
- Strong distributor network knowledge and market relationships
- Hands- on, entrepreneurial, and execution- focused
- Ability to build and scale teams
