Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and P&L Management:
- Develop and execute regional sales aligned with company growth plans.
- Planning, managing and owning the P&L, optimizing resources, driving revenue, and controlling costs.
- Adding value by adding new processes for effective management of P&L
- Meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring profitability.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and financial forecasts to senior leadership.
High Impact Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve performance goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent for the sales team
Government Sales & Key Account Management:
- Drive sales pipeline growth with direct government central state local bodies clients, PSUs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders.
- Lead complex contract negotiations and ensure compliance with regulations.
Budgeting, Financial Planning & ROI:
- Oversee regional sales budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet targets.
- Analyze financial data and implement cost-effective strategies to improve profitability.
Planning & Execution:
- Align regional sales strategy with organizational goals to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Implement sales processes and CRM tools to track and optimize performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of strategies.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to adjust strategies and seize new business opportunities.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in direct sales with Government institutions, ministries and departments in India.
- Experience of managing a small to mid sized sales team.
- Hands on experience in managing, monitoring sales P&L OR extensive working knowledge of the same.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Engineering in any stream with a proven track record of relevant sales experience OR Graduate in any stream with MBA from a reputed organization with 15+ years of relevant sales experience.
- Strong track record of managing teams, developing talent, and driving high performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the government sales process, procurement regulations, and contract management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
- Expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Government relations expertise, with experience of navigating contracts and relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self driven approach to meet business objectives and targets.
- Ability to report using software systems and tools.
