Regional Sales & Business Development Lead - US & Japan

Role Overview:

- The incumbent will spearhead Sales and Business Development initiatives across the MENA and APAC regions, driving growth through strategic planning, customer engagement, and market expansion.


- This role focuses on both nurturing existing client relationships and unlocking new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on launching Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).


- Success requires deep expertise in the pharmaceutical value chain, regulatory environments, and seamless collaboration with R&D and manufacturing teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong business acumen

- Deep understanding of API market dynamics in US & Japan

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to travel extensively across regions

- Detail-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach

- Proven track record in managing senior-level client relationships

- Demonstrated success in new product development and market penetration

- Familiarity with regulatory and patent landscapes in target territories

Core Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

- Develop and execute annual sales budgets and regional strategies aligned with global business objectives

- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met

2. Business Development

- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with current and prospective clients

- Assess market demand and align product pipeline to support successful API launches

3. Leadership & Team Development

- Mentor and support junior Sales & BD team members

- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture across the function

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with R&D and manufacturing to align product development with market needs

- Ensure timely execution of tech transfers and commercial product launches

5. Market Intelligence & Product Strategy

- Analyze IMS data, competitive pricing, regulatory frameworks, and patent landscapes

- Develop informed market entry strategies and product positioning plans
