Job Description:

Strategic Planning & Process Development:

- Oversee daily operations of collections and recovery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards

- Implement early warning systems for delinquent accounts and establish proactive default prevention measures

- Manage high-value delinquent accounts, including settlements, repossessions, and escalations

- Develop and implement collection and recovery strategies tailored to the vehicle finance segment in Maharashtra & Gujarat

- Identify key risk areas, customer segments, and trends to improve collection efficiency and recovery rates

- Establish SOPs for collection and recovery activities aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Repossession Operations:

- Ensure timely tracking of seized vehicles and maintenance of repossession MIS

- Ensure system updates and storage of yard agreements as per company approval policy

- Ensure maintenance of repossessed asset details received from branches and share information with police stations

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and RBI guidelines for vehicle repossession by NBFCs

- Ensure uniform practices across branches and provide procedural and security support for repossession assignments

Legal Recovery:

- Ensure all legal recovery processes comply with RBI and other legal authority requirements

- Oversee management of live and shortfall cases, including issuance of recall notices to customers

- Support cluster managers and state recovery heads in resolving complaints and allegations

- Monitor legal expenses and prepare MIS reports for management

- Formulate legal procedures and policy manuals and ensure standardized implementation across branches and locations

Candidate Requirements:

- 15+ years of experience in collections, repossessions, legal, and recovery within NBFC/used commercial vehicle finance sector

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role

- Expertise in collections and recovery operations, especially in vehicle finance

- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for NBFCs
