Job Description:

Role Purpose:

The Regional Planning Head will be responsible for leading project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls for Data Centre EPC projects within the region. The role will ensure timely project execution, resource optimization, risk mitigation, and adherence to project milestones while supporting the Regional Head in achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules for multiple Data Centre EPC projects.

- Prepare detailed project execution plans, baseline schedules, resource plans, and recovery schedules.

- Monitor project progress against approved timelines and identify schedule deviations.

- Ensure alignment of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.

Project Controls & Monitoring:

- Establish project control systems, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

- Track project performance through KPIs, milestones, earned value analysis, and productivity metrics.

- Conduct schedule risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.

- Drive forecasting and project completion estimates.

Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commercial, and Client teams.

- Present project progress, critical issues, and mitigation plans to senior management.

- Support client reviews and progress meetings.

Resource & Capacity Planning:

- Develop manpower and resource deployment plans across projects.

- Optimize utilization of resources to improve project delivery efficiency.

- Coordinate with project teams to ensure availability of critical resources.

Risk Management:

- Identify project execution risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Monitor critical path activities and proactively address bottlenecks.

- Support claims management and delay analysis where required.

Process Improvement:

- Standardize planning and project control practices across the region.

- Implement best practices, digital tools, and planning methodologies.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery performance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil).

- MBA/PGDM preferred.

- Certification in Primavera P6/MS Project or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- 15-20 years of experience in Project Planning and Controls.

- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale EPC projects.

- Experience in Data Centres, Industrial Projects, Power, MEP, Infrastructure, or Mission-Critical Facilities is preferred.
