Description:
- Build, manage and develop the distributor/dealer network, oversee their performance, motivate and train them regularly.
- Lead the project and institutional channel: engage with lighting consultants, architects, specifiers, end-users (commercial, industrial, infrastructure) to drive specification and conversion of Wipro lighting solutions.
- Retail & modern trade channel management: ensure brand visibility, product availability, merchandising, promotional activities.
- Pipeline management: monitor leads, conversions, order book, collections, credit control, inventory management.
- Analyze region performance data (sales trends, market share, competitor activity, channel feedback) and provide insights/recommendations.
- Lead and manage the regional team (Sales Managers, Area Managers, internal support functions) - recruitment, performance management, training, coaching.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, supply chain and service teams to ensure product launches, resolve customer issues, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage P&L (profit & loss) for the region: ensure cost control, margin optimisation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Ensure operational discipline: forecasting, reporting, reviews, dashboards, KPI tracking.
- Drive innovation and push new business opportunities: smart lighting, IoT/connected lighting, retrofit programmes, green building lighting solutions.
- Maintain active relationships with government bodies, utilities, EPC contractors for large scale/ infrastructure lighting business.
