THE OPPORTUNITY Regional Head Human Resources (for the Bangalore Office) The Regional Head - HR will be an integral part of the Bangalore Leadership team, and is expected to play a key role with respect to Talent Acquisition, Professional Development, and Human Resource Operations for the Bangalore office in consultation with the Corporate HR team in Bombay. This role will report in to Director Human Resources in the firm's Bombay office, but will also have dotted line reporting responsibilities to the Senior Partners of the firm, based in Bangalore. ACCOUNTABILITIES Talent Acquisition - Facilitate talent acquisition process for the Bangalore office in conjunction with the Corporate Talent Acquisition team - Lead and provide guidance to the regional talent acquisition team to build a strong pipeline and manage recruitment and onboarding processes effectively; this includes providing oversight to consulting staff conducting interviews and evaluating candidates. - Coordinate new hire and internal transfers on-boarding program, including relocation information, IT arrangements, payroll, and orientation program Professional Development - Facilitate Performance Review collection and calibration process in conjunction with Corporate People Development team - Identify Training and Professional Development needs of the Bangalore office and work with corporate and local People Development SPOCS to create and coordinate new trainings - Facilitate Performance Management process / Exit process in the case of serious performance issues / misdemeanour, in conjunction with the People Development and Leadership team Human Resource Operations - Manage staffing/ allocation of Bangalore office consultants on various projects, in coordination with the Partners and Directors locally - Build a vibrant, professional and equitable culture within the Bangalore office, as a member of the HR management team. This includes sensing office mood, engaging with team members, discussing key matters with the management team and taking supportive action - Coordinate employee Compensation structure, Benefits, and HR Policies including Annual Compensation Setting for the Bangalore office in conjunction with Corporate People Development team - Facilitate employee grievance process - Ensure compliance with all human asset related regulations, such as Provident Fund Laws, Staffing Laws, and Sexual Harassment Laws, etc. CANDIDATE PROFILE: Education & Experience: - A Master's degree focused on human resources or business with strong academic credentials - 12+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Professional Development, and Human Resource Operations, within Corporates / Advisory firms Personal Qualities: - Highly motivated and willing to take initiative to drive work forward - Strong leadership skills; able to make effective decisions with little supervision from Managing Directors - Capable of working on multiple, overlapping tasks in a fast-changing environment - Emotionally intelligent - able to work well with a wide variety of people and build strong relationships that inspire openness and trust, both with colleagues and external parties - Highly organised and diligent, capable of managing key processes with strong attention to detail - Effective negotiation skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 1.
