Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Business Strategy & Revenue Growth:
- Franchise Expansion: Formulate and execute the regional business plan to aggressively grow the firms wealth management footprint, market share, and brand presence.
- P&L & Target Ownership: Own the regional Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. Drive the team to achieve and exceed ambitious milestones across AUM acquisition, net new money (NNM), and cross-sell revenue targets.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor regional economic trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging investment avenues to identify untapped market opportunities.
2. Team Leadership & Talent Management:
- High-Performing Team Building: Manage, mentor, and upskill a regional team of Wealth and Relationship Managers, cultivating a high-performance culture rooted in financial ethics.
- Performance Engineering: Establish clear KPIs, monitor regional pipelines, manage performance matrices, and actively participate in hiring top-tier advisory talent.
3. HNI/UHNI Client Relationship Mastery:
- Key Account Engagement: Personally manage and deepen strategic relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, and corporate promoters.
- Exemplary Customer Experience: Ensure the delivery of bespoke, multi-asset financial solutions (spanning equities, fixed income, real estate, structured products, and alternative investment funds) tailored to complex client risk profiles.
4. Risk, Governance & Compliance:
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all regional business activities strictly comply with financial market regulators and internal auditing guardrails (including SEBI, RBI, NISM, and AMFI guidelines).
- Risk Management: Oversight of portfolio risk allocation, preventing mis-selling, and upholding the highest standards of client data privacy and fiduciary responsibility.
Required Candidate Profile:
Experience & Education:
- Academic Foundation: MBA or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a tier-1 institute.
- Industry Tenure: 12 to 18+ years of rich experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking, or Premier Financial Services, with a steep trajectory in leadership roles.
- Leadership Track Record: Proven milestone achievements in managing expansive geographical regions and leading multi-layered teams of financial advisors.
- Mandatory Certifications: Valid industry certifications such as NISM (Series X-A/X-B) or AMFI are highly preferred.
Professional Skill Matrix:
- Asset Allocation & Advisory: Deep mastery over complex financial instruments: Mutual Funds, AIFs, PMS, Structured Products, Estate Planning, and Debt Markets.
- Portfolio Performance: Strong capability to evaluate HNI/UHNI portfolio health, analyze risk-adjusted returns, and strategy pivots during volatile market cycles.
- Sales & Network Delivery: Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills; possessing an active, established network of HNIs/UHNIs in the target region.
- Analytical Capabilities: Competence in evaluating regional financial data, tracking lead conversion funnels, and optimizing regional operational overheads.
