Role Overview The Regional Head- South is responsible for driving overall sales and market growth within South region (Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Kerala). This role requires strategic leadership, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage and develop a high- performing sales team. The incumbent will oversee Branch Managers and local sales team, ensuring the effective implementation of sales strategies, distribution and retail network development, brand building, and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute the regional sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. - Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify growth opportunities, assess competitive landscape, and develop market penetration plans. - Set ambitious sales targets and performance benchmarks for the region. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations, etc.) to optimize sales performance. Sales Management - Oversee the performance of Branch Managers and local sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support. - Monitor and deliver on sales achievement against targets and implement corrective actions as needed. - Analyze sales data and generate actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness. - Develop and implement sales incentive programs to motivate the sales team. Distribution & Retail Management - Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution and retail strategy to expand market reach. - Evaluate and optimize the distributor & retailer network based on performance metrics. - Build strong relationships with key distributors & retail partners to ensure alignment with company objectives. - Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure efficient inventory management and distribution logistics. Brand Building - Develop and implement regional brand building initiatives to enhance market position. - Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective branding and communication strategies. - Monitor brand awareness and perception in the region. People Management - Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team. - Create a positive and motivating work environment. - Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team. - Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Financial Management - Develop and manage the regional sales budget. - Monitor sales expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness. - Support with AR & AP settlements for channel partners in the region. Required Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. - Minimum 15 years of experience in sales management, with at least 4-6 years in a regional or zonal sales leadership role. - Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building high-performing sales teams at regional level. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze market data and generate actionable insights. - Proficiency in using sales and marketing software applications.
