Job Summary:
As our Regional Retail Head - South Region, you will lead retail operations, expansion, and team building across the South Region to achieve ambitious growth targets and establish strong market presence.
This is a 0 - 1 role. You'll be responsible for building retail presence from scratch, achieving specific footprint and revenue targets, and creating scalable systems. The role is both strategic and execution-heavy, perfect for someone who thrives in building businesses and wants full ownership.
Responsibilities:
1. Retail Expansion & Footprint Development:
- Achieve regional retail footprint targets and revenue goals as per expansion roadmap
- Develop comprehensive expansion strategy based on pincode-level market research
- Lead end-to-end store launch process including site selection, fitouts, and activation
- Ensure timely store openings as per company timeline and launch schedules
2. Sales Performance & Optimization:
- Drive footfall optimization and conversion rate improvement to meet sales targets
- Monitor and improve key metrics including ASP (Average Selling Price) and AOV (Average Order Value)
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to optimize store performance
- Manage regional P&L and ensure profitable operations across all locations
3. Team Building & Operations:
- Build and onboard regional retail team to execute short-term and long-term objectives
- Recruit, train, and manage retail store teams across multiple locations
- Define clear operational ownership among team members for smooth operations
- Establish and manage customer service operations for in-store satisfaction
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis for strategic insights
- Identify growth opportunities and market trends in the South Region
- Provide regional performance reports and recommendations to leadership
- Adapt national strategies to local market requirements
Requirements:
- 7-8 years in retail operations or regional management roles at premium consumer brands
- Experience in luxury/premium categories (jewellery, watches, fashion, or accessories)
- Proven track record of achieving retail expansion and revenue targets
- Strong understanding of South Indian markets and consumer behavior
- Ability to build and lead high-performing retail teams
