Regional Head - Institutional Sales - Mutual Fund

Role Overview:

Join a leading mutual fund company as the Regional Head Institutional Sales, responsible for driving institutional business growth across the assigned region. The role involves developing regional sales strategies, expanding distribution partnerships, strengthening client relationships, and leading business development initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders to achieve revenue targets while ensuring regulatory compliance and superior client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve institutional business targets and market share growth.

- Drive new business acquisition through institutional clients, distributors, financial advisors, and strategic partners.

- Strengthen and manage relationships with existing clients to improve retention and business growth.

- Monitor regional sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

- Prepare periodic business performance reports and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

- Build strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and other key external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 7-12 years of experience in institutional sales within mutual funds or asset management.

- Strong understanding of mutual fund products, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving regional business growth.

- Demonstrated leadership capability with strong stakeholder and client management skills.

- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

- Willing to be based in Mumbai and work onsite.

- Candidates without mutual fund or asset management industry experience.

- Predominantly retail banking, insurance, or non-investment financial services backgrounds.

- Pure operations, compliance, or support function profiles.
