#About the Opportunity

Our client is one of India's leading consumer-facing organizations with a strong nationwide presence. They are looking for an experienced Regional HR Head (HR Business Partner) to lead the HR function for the South region. This is a strategic as well as hands-on leadership role, partnering closely with business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, employee engagement, capability building, and business transformation across a geographically diverse workforce.

The incumbent will report to the HR Head and lead a team of HR professionals responsible for delivering the complete employee lifecycle across the Southern region.

# Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

- Act as a trusted HR advisor to Regional Sales and Service Leadership teams.

- Partner with business leaders to translate business priorities into people strategies.

- Drive organizational effectiveness, productivity, and workforce planning initiatives.

- Influence leadership decisions through people insights and HR analytics.

Employee Lifecycle Management

- Workforce Planning

- Talent Acquisition support, Onboarding

- Performance Management

- Learning & Development

- Career Development, Succession Planning

- Employee Engagement

- Retention, Exit Management

Leadership Partnership

- Collaborate closely with 10~12 senior Sales and Service leaders across the South region.

- Coach and mentor business leaders on people management, employee relations, and talent development.

- Build leadership capability and strengthen managerial effectiveness.

HR Operations & Governance

- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, and compliance.

- Drive performance calibration and annual talent review processes.

- Resolve complex employee relations issues while maintaining a positive employee experience.

- Monitor key HR metrics and recommend improvement actions.

Employee Engagement & Culture

- Build a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.

- Drive employee engagement initiatives across multiple locations.

- Improve retention and strengthen employer branding within the region.

Change Management & Transformation

- Lead regional implementation of organization-wide HR transformation initiatives.

- Drive change management, digital HR adoption, process improvements, and capability-building programs.

- Identify opportunities to enhance HR effectiveness and business productivity.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-5 HR professionals.

- Build a high-performing HR team aligned with business objectives.

- Foster collaboration across HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Services.

- Scope of the Role

- HR responsibility for Southern states: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala

- Business partnering with Sales and Service functions across multiple locations.

- Leadership responsibility for a regional HR team.

- Ideal Candidate Profile

- MBA/MSW in Human Resources from a reputed institution.

- 12-18 years of progressive HR experience with significant exposure as an HR Business Partner.

- 4-6 yrs if from Premier Institutes

- Experience managing large, geographically distributed frontline workforces.

- Strong understanding of Sales and Service organizations.

- Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders.

- Demonstrated success in driving HR transformation and change management initiatives.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership capabilities.

- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, business-driven environment.
