Job Description:
- The Regional Head - Channel Sales will lead and drive the distribution and channel expansion strategy for the assigned region within the AMC (Asset Management Company) ecosystem.
- The role requires deep expertise in mutual fund distribution, IFA channel management, regional market penetration, and sales operations.
- The candidate will oversee multiple territories, mentor sales teams, and work closely with distributors, IFAs, and large channel partners to achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead regional business development and achieve AUM and revenue targets through the IFA/Distributor channel.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for channel expansion within the region.
- Manage, guide, and mentor a team of Relationship Managers and Channel Sales Executives.
- Analyze regional market dynamics, competitor insights, and customer behavior to create targeted sales strategies.
- Build long-term relationships with IFAs, national distributors, banks, and wealth partners.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews of regional sales teams.
- Drive product awareness sessions, investor meets, and partner training programs.
- Collaborate with product teams, marketing, and operations for seamless execution of campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal controls across all regional activities.
Required Skills:
- Mandatory experience in AMC / Mutual Fund channel sales.
- Strong understanding of MF products, investor behaviour, and AUM management.
- Proven team leadership & performance management capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to form data-driven strategies.
- Excellent relationship building and negotiation abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior exposure to multi-region handling.
- Certifications such as NISM V-A, V-B.
- Experience working with wealth-tech or digital distribution platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing/Finance preferred
