About the Role:
The Regional Head - South will lead and drive the overall sales performance across southern India by managing regional teams, key accounts, and channel partners. The role requires a seasoned sales leader with deep experience in both B2B and Retail sales, strong understanding of financial products (banking, insurance, or allied sectors), and a proven ability to achieve aggressive growth targets while maintaining operational excellence and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership & Strategy
Own and drive sales targets for the South region across B2B and Retail channels.
Develop and implement regional business plans aligned with organizational goals.
Identify new market opportunities and design go-to-market strategies for growth.
Ensure consistent achievement of revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition KPIs.
2. Team Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing regional sales team (Zonal Managers, Area Heads, and Relationship Managers).
Set performance benchmarks and conduct regular reviews, coaching, and training sessions.
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
3. Channel & Partner Management
Build and strengthen relationships with key channel partners, distributors, and institutional clients.
Negotiate strategic alliances, distribution tie-ups, and partnership agreements.
Monitor partner performance and ensure alignment with brand and compliance standards.
4. Business Expansion & Market Intelligence
Identify new business opportunities and regions for expansion across South India.
Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to refine sales approaches.
Provide inputs for product customization and innovation based on regional needs.
5. Operations & Compliance
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory norms, and compliance guidelines.
Optimize sales processes for efficiency and transparency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations teams for smooth execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Finance from a reputed institute.
Experience:
- Minimum 14 years of progressive experience in Sales Leadership, preferably in Banking, Insurance, NBFC, or Financial Distribution.
- Proven track record of leading multi-city sales teams and delivering sustained growth.
- Strong exposure to both B2B (corporate partnerships, channel management) and Retail (branch, agent, or direct-to-customer) sales.
