Regional Finance Controller

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Finance Controller to oversee the financial operations across South Africa clusters. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary financial steward, ensuring the integrity of our accounting practices while providing strategic oversight to regional leadership teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional department heads, external auditors, and local regulatory bodies to maintain fiscal compliance and operational excellence. By driving robust financial reporting and rigorous analysis, you will directly influence business profitability, optimize cash flow management, and provide the actionable insights necessary for sustainable regional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger management and accounts payable, to ensure accurate and timely financial records for regional stakeholders.

- Spearhead the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and statutory filings, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws and international accounting standards across Zimbabwe and South Africa.

- Conduct deep-dive financial analysis on operational performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth levers for executive management.

- Manage regional cash flow and working capital requirements, mitigating financial risks through proactive monitoring and strategic treasury oversight.

- Lead and mentor local finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and precision to enhance the overall quality of financial output.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex accounting cycles and financial reporting frameworks, backed by a professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CIMA.

- Proven ability to navigate the unique regulatory and tax landscapes of Zimbabwe and South Africa, ensuring seamless adherence to local compliance requirements.

- Exceptional analytical acumen, with the ability to translate raw financial data into strategic narratives that guide senior leadership decision-making.

- Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and the ability to influence cross-functional teams across different geographic locations.

- High degree of adaptability and professional maturity, with the capacity to manage a hybrid or on-site regional setup while maintaining rigorous internal controls.

- Minimum of 8 to 11 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a track record of managing regional financial operations.
