Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced professionals for the role of Senior Manager Recovery to lead regional recovery operations for a Small Ticket Personal Loan (STPL) portfolio within a fast-growing digital lending environment.
This is a high-impact leadership role involving end-to-end ownership of collections performance, field recovery operations, and portfolio management for a book size exceeding 100 Cr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end recovery strategy across delinquency buckets, with a strong focus on hard bucket collections (90+ DPD / write-offs)
- Manage and lead field collections teams and agency partners across the assigned region
- Own and manage a 100 Cr+ portfolio of small ticket personal loans
- Monitor collection efficiency, productivity metrics, and resolution rates
- Implement data-driven strategies to improve recovery performance and reduce losses
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, compliance norms, and internal policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, operations, and analytics
- Drive continuous process improvements and optimize on-ground collections effectiveness
Eligibility Criteria (Must Have):
- 7-10 years of experience in collections within BFSI / NBFC / Fintech
- Strong experience in Digital Lending - Personal Loan collections is mandatory
- Hands-on exposure to hard bucket / recovery portfolios (small ticket size loans)
(Personal Loans / Consumer Durable Loans / Credit Cards preferred)
- Proven experience in managing field collections teams and vendors/agencies
- Prior experience in handling portfolio size of 100 Cr+ (small ticket loans)
- Candidates with experience primarily in Home Loans (HL), LAP, MSME or secured lending will not be considered
- Candidates handling monthly cases below 30k per month would not be eligible
- Candidates not handling agencies would be fit
