An industry-leading financial services organization is looking for a seasoned Regional Credit Manager to lead the credit and underwriting function across Uttar Pradesh. The ideal candidate will be based in Lucknow and will play a key role in driving quality credit decisions while supporting business growth in Affordable Housing Loans, LAP, and Mortgage Loans.
About the Role:
As a Regional Credit Manager, youll oversee end-to-end credit operations for multiple branches across the state. Youll ensure timely and sound credit underwriting decisions, guide your team of credit analysts, and collaborate closely with the business teams to balance growth with portfolio quality.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a large regional credit portfolio and contribute directly to strategic growth within the affordable housing and mortgage lending segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the credit underwriting process for Affordable Housing, LAP, and Mortgage products.
- Evaluate and approve loan applications within defined turnaround times (TATs) while ensuring adherence to policy and compliance standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and upskill a team of credit analysts across the region.
- Partner with sales and business teams to enable quality-driven portfolio expansion.
- Implement regional credit strategies, process improvements, and risk controls.
- Monitor credit performance and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Review and approve high-value proposals as per delegated authority levels.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8-15 years of experience in Credit & Underwriting for Housing Finance / LAP / Mortgage Loans.
- In-depth knowledge of retail credit policies, financial analysis, and risk management frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing credit teams and supporting business growth.
- Strong decision-making, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Banking, or related fields.
