
We are seeking a high-calibre, strategic, and "hands-on" leader to spearhead our largest business territory. Bangalore & Mumbai represents the core of our operations, and we need a sophisticated professional who can transition the region from founder-led oversight to professional management. This role is designed for a "Smarter & Sharper" leader who balances high-level strategic thinking with a relentless commitment to ground-level execution.
The Regional CEO will lead strategic direction and oversee operations for a group of schools within the region, with a focus on achieving academic excellence, driving enrolment growth, enhancing financial performance, and strengthening brand presence, while ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for students and parents across all campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Operations & Governance
- Organizational Transition: Move the current reporting structure of Zonal Heads away from the COO to this role, ensuring streamlined growth, communication and accountability.
- Operational Excellence: Identify bottlenecks in day-to-day school operations and implement scalable systems to improve efficiency and brand consistency.
- Business Growth: Not just "managing numbers" but identifying strategic levers to improve the Brand's market position and student experience.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies and education standards.
- Standardize processes, policies, and SOPs across schools.
2. Sales, Admissions & Lead Management
- Field Sales Leadership: Drive the field sales teams to meet aggressive admission targets.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Analyse lead sources (BTL, Referral, etc.) and conversion funnels to optimize marketing spend and team efforts.
- BTL & Lead Generation: Focus on local marketing initiatives and field-level activities to ensure a consistent pipeline of walk-ins and inquiries.
3. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Leading High-Potentials: Manage a team of Zonal Heads (many of whom are from Tier-1 institutes like IIM/MDI); must possess the "intellectual aura" and leadership presence to command respect.
- Capability Building: Upskill the current zonal team to shift from operational firefighting to strategic regional management.
4. Stakeholder & Expansion Support
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Expansion Team to provide operational insights for new school acquisitions/signings.
- Brand Stewardship: Act as the face of the brand in Bangalore/Mumbai, ensuring that every school meets the highest standards of the organization.
- Strengthen relationships with vendors, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders.

Candidate Specification:
- Educational Background: MBA from a Tier-1/Tier-2 Institute (IIM, ISB, MDI, XLRI, IMT, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience, with a proven track record as a high-growth, operationally intensive distributed services/retail set ups. Proven track record of managing multi-campus operations and driving growth.
- The "Roll-up-Sleeves" Mandate: This is NOT a "cubicle job." The candidate must be willing to spend significant time on the ground, visiting schools and meeting field teams.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to deep-dive into P&L, conversion metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Persona: Sophisticated communicator with a strong leadership presence yet humble enough to "get their hands dirty.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1. Admission Targets: Achievement of student enrolment goals across the Bangalore/ Mumbai cluster.
2. Revenue Growth: Scaling the Bangalore/ Mumbai business beyond the current 40% contribution.
3. Lead Conversion Rate: Improvement in source-wise conversion metrics.
4. Operational Quality: Standardization of school operations and brand hygiene across all locations.
5. Retention: Staff and student retention across the zone
