Job Opening for The Head of Business Development - Equipment Leasing role in a NBFC at Bangalore location.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth in the Southern region through acquisition of new clients for equipment leasing and financing solutions across IT assets, warehouse equipment, furniture, and office fit-outs.
- Build a strong lead pipeline by collaborating with OEMs, their partner vendors, and financial institutions like banks and NBFCs to offer equipment rental solutions.
- Leverage a network of CFOs, CIOs, and other key decision-makers within large corporates to schedule meetings and present cost-benefit analyses.
- Apply a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and offer customized renting and financial solutions.
- Recommend appropriate pricing models and financial structures aligned with clients' financial objectives.
- Identify and pursue leasing opportunities with large corporates through vendor alliances, referrals, and strategic networking.
- Promote the value of Fair Market Value (FMV) leasing across multiple asset categories to increase wallet share.
- Analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, etc.) to assess company health, uncover business opportunities, and identify financing needs.
- Structure and price deals for a wide range of equipment types.
- Participate in rate contracts, RFPs, RFQs, and technical discussions as required.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for major clients to meet business targets.
Success Metric:
- Drive volume growth and profitability by achieving leasing targets and analyzing P&L statements to identify key performance drivers.
- Generate lease volumes through direct engagement with clients.
- Ensure profitability across the lease lifecycle-including deal origination, restructuring, and post-term management.
- Manage client relationships proactively to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Education / Qualification:
- MBA preferred
Work Experience:
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in equipment leasing, including both captive and third-party leasing models
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly with a large and global client base
- Strong experience in direct interaction with C-level executives
- Hands-on knowledge of structuring, pricing, and funding of direct lease products and managed service agreements

- Internal teams including CFO, Finance, Tax, and Back Office functions
