Key Responsibilities:
Regional Business & Strategy:
- Own and drive regional business targets (premium, policies, revenue, and productivity) for the banca channel
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national business goals
- Identify growth opportunities within existing bank partners and new banca alliances
Bancassurance & Open Architecture Management:
- Manage and deepen relationships with open architecture banking partners
- Drive product penetration across multiple bank partners while ensuring fair share of wallet
- Ensure alignment of bank staff, insurance sales teams, and internal stakeholders
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead and manage two-level sales teams (Area Sales Managers / Cluster Heads / Relationship Managers)
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, capability building, and performance management of teams
- Coach and mentor leaders to improve productivity, quality of business, and retention
Sales Execution & Performance Management:
- Monitor key performance metrics including premium growth, conversion ratios, persistency, and activation
- Ensure consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets
- Drive sales contests, incentives, and engagement programs to motivate teams
Stakeholder & Bank Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with regional and zonal heads of partner banks
- Conduct joint business planning, reviews, and strategy meets with bank leadership
- Resolve escalations related to service, underwriting, claims, and operations
Compliance, Governance & Quality:
- Ensure strict adherence to IRDAI regulations, company policies, and banca guidelines
- Maintain high standards of business quality, persistency, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee audit readiness and ensure compliance across the region
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in Life Insurance Bancassurance (Open Architecture)
- Proven regional leadership experience with large multi-level teams
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder influencing skills
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities
- High ownership mindset with strategic and execution excellence
Eligibility Criteria:
Experience: Minimum 12+ years in Life Insurance, primarily in Banca Channel
Team Handling: Proven experience in two-level team management
