Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Regional Logistics Manager to lead and optimize ash logistics operations across the assigned territory. This role requires deep expertise in identifying and onboarding transport partners, conducting detailed cost analysis, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with local unions, authorities, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine strong operational oversight with strategic planning to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transporter & Logistics Partner Management

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable local transporters and logistics service providers.

- Conduct due diligence to ensure partners align with company policies and performance standards.

- Build and maintain a strong network of regional logistics partners.

2. Tendering, Costing & Rate Negotiation

- Lead end-to-end tendering processes for logistics services within the region.

- Conduct detailed cost and market analysis to establish competitive pricing.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing models to balance cost efficiency with service quality.

3. Onboarding & Contract Governance

- Manage onboarding of selected logistics partners, ensuring compliance with company standards.

- Draft, review, and monitor contractual agreements for legal and performance adherence.

- Renew or renegotiate contracts to ensure continuity and cost optimization.

4. Stakeholder & Local Liaison

- Develop strong relationships with local transporter unions, authorities, and regulatory bodies.

- Act as the primary point of contact for all regional logistics-related matters.

- Stay updated on regional regulations, union developments, and industry challenges.

5. Operational Oversight & Problem Resolution

- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including ash transportation and disposal.

- Address operational challenges promptly and effectively.

- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely deliveries.

6. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure adherence to all legal, environmental, and safety standards.

- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records for audits and compliance reviews.

7. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead and mentor logistics coordinators and support staff.

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

8. Performance Tracking

- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as cost efficiency, turnaround time, and vendor performance.

- Provide actionable insights and regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).

- Minimum 15 years of experience in logistics operations with reputed logistics organizations.

- Hands-on experience in handling tippers and bulkers.

- Proven expertise in vendor identification, onboarding, and rate negotiation.

- Strong experience in tendering, cost analysis, and contract management.

- In-depth knowledge of regional logistics dynamics, transporter unions, and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in logistics management systems and MS Office Suite.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
