Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Project Manager - Mining to lead and manage large-scale mining projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth technical expertise, project management capabilities, and strategic insights into both underground and open cast mining operations.

This is a client-facing role ideal for a professional with a strong consulting background and deep domain knowledge in mining.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end delivery of mining projects, including feasibility studies, project planning, execution, and performance optimization.

- Engage with senior client stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable project plans.

- Provide technical and strategic advisory for both underground and opencast mining projects.

- Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams including geologists, mining engineers, financial analysts, and environmental consultants.

- Oversee project budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.

- Develop business cases, project proposals, and detailed reports for clients.

- Ensure regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance throughout project phases.

- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities and participating in client pitches.

- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge development.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from ISM (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad - Mandatory

- MBA from IIM (Indian Institute of Management) - Mandatory

- 3-10 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a mining consulting environment in any Big 4 consulting firms.

- Hands-on project management experience in underground and opencast mining projects - Strongly preferred

- Proven track record of delivering large-scale mining projects on time and within budget

- Familiarity with mining software/tools (e.g., Surpac, MineSched, Datamine) is a plus

- Strong knowledge of global mining standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices

- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
