Refex Group - Manager - Strategy & Operations - IIT/IIM

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and high-performing professional to join our Corporate Strategy team as Manager - Strategy & Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy, this role will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, business planning, and operational excellence across group companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about solving complex business problems in a high-growth environment.

This position offers exceptional exposure to business-critical initiatives, leadership interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Chief Strategy to develop, implement, and manage key strategic initiatives across the organization.

- Conduct detailed market research, build business plans, and develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of strategic projects and business priorities.

- Evaluate new business opportunities - including go-to-market strategy, competitive benchmarking, and financial feasibility.

- Monitor progress of strategic and operational initiatives and proactively identify potential risks or bottlenecks.

- Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and board-level documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

- Serve as a key liaison between the Strategy function and other internal departments or external partners.

- Lead or support special projects such as M&A evaluations, partnerships, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

- Any Degree from IIT and Must hold an MBA from IIMs.

- 3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or corporate planning.

- Strong understanding of business models, financial analysis, and strategic frameworks.

- Background or exposure to industries such as Pharma, Mining, or Renewables will be an added advantage.

- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across various levels.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- High level of ownership, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to execution.

- Prior experience working with corporate strategy, CXOs or founders is preferred.

- Willingness to be based in Chennai (Work from Office) and travel occasionally as per business needs.
