About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and high-potential Chief of Staff - Strategy & Operations to work directly with the Founder & Managing Director in driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and business growth across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in strategy consulting, operations management, or business planning, combined with a solid financial and analytical mindset. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role offering exceptional exposure to strategic decision-making, new business initiatives, and enterprise-level planning.

The role functions as a Strategic Advisor to Leadership, an Operational Lead for Key Projects, and provides Direct Support to the Managing Director in executing critical organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Advisory & Leadership Engagement:

- Partner closely with the Founder & MD to define and execute the company's long-term strategic roadmap.

- Provide strategic insights, decision support, and analytical inputs for business planning and new initiatives.

- Conduct market, competitor, and business analysis to identify growth opportunities, especially in API and formulation segments.

- Support leadership in evaluating new business proposals, partnerships, and expansion plans.

Operational Leadership:

- Lead operational excellence initiatives across functions to improve efficiency, alignment, and performance.

- Ensure timely follow-through on leadership decisions and track progress on key strategic action items.

- Drive organizational discipline through structured review mechanisms, dashboards, and performance monitoring.

Project Management:

- Manage cross-functional projects end-to-end-planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

- Oversee high-priority initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to strengthen process effectiveness across teams.

Direct Support to the Managing Director:

- Act as an extension of the MD's office, ensuring critical priorities are executed effectively.

- Prepare business presentations, reports, and strategic documents for management and board reviews.

- Facilitate high-level communication and coordination across departments.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Educational background: BE / B.Tech - Chemical Engineering from IIT or NIT and MBA from IIM.

- 2 to 3 years of consulting experience (strategy consulting preferred).

- 8 to 10 years of total professional experience, with 3 to 5 years in the pharmaceutical sector (API or formulations preferred).

- Strong background in strategy consulting, business planning, operations, or cross-functional program management.

- Excellent understanding of financial analysis, business modelling, and performance metrics.

- Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong leadership maturity.

- BEMBA or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution preferred.
