Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Chief of Staff Pharma to work closely with senior leadership in driving business strategy, growth initiatives, portfolio management, and key strategic projects across the pharmaceutical business.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, including API and Formulations, with a deep understanding of both domestic and international markets. The candidate should possess strong analytical, commercial, and strategic capabilities, along with expertise in molecule and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Support:

- Work closely with the senior leadership team to drive strategic priorities and key business initiatives.

- Support the development and execution of short-term and long-term business strategies.

- Track critical business initiatives and ensure timely execution across functions.

- Prepare strategic presentations, business reviews, and reports for senior management.

Pharma Business & Market Strategy:

- Develop a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business across API and Formulations.

- Analyze domestic and international pharmaceutical markets, industry trends, competition, and growth opportunities.

- Support market-entry strategies and expansion into new geographies.

- Identify opportunities for business growth and strategic partnerships.

Portfolio & Molecule Management:

- Support portfolio strategy, product selection, and lifecycle management.

- Conduct market analysis for new molecules and evaluate commercial opportunities.

- Analyze molecule potential based on market size, competition, pricing, regulatory landscape, and profitability.

- Work closely with R&D, Business Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Manufacturing teams.

International & Domestic Markets:

- Support business expansion initiatives across domestic and international markets.

- Analyze market opportunities and support country-wise portfolio strategies.

- Monitor international pharmaceutical trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive market expansion.

Program & Performance Management:

- Drive cross-functional strategic projects and ensure effective execution.

- Establish performance dashboards and track key business KPIs.

- Follow up with business leaders and functional teams on strategic initiatives.

- Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities and support leadership in decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 8+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.

- Strong experience and understanding of API and Formulations businesses.

- B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering is mandatory.

- MBA from an IIM is mandatory/preferred based on the organization's requirements.

- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business, including domestic and international markets.

- Experience in portfolio management and molecule evaluation/selection.

- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics, product strategy, and commercialization.

- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work closely with senior leadership and manage multiple strategic priorities.
