Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and proactive Research Manager to anchor our expert engagement and primary research operations. This role will serve as a critical link between internal teams (across Benchmarks and Consulting) and external expert vendors, enabling high-quality and fast-turnaround research inputs for a wide range of strategic projects. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of expert onboarding and interactions from defining the right expert profile to vendor coordination, scheduling, call quality, and synthesis. In addition, youll play a key role in facilitating better alignment across Redseers business units by enabling research collaboration, note sharing, and aligned insights across teams. This is a high-impact role that bridges operational efficiency with strategic research execution. Key Responsibilities: Expert Sourcing & Vendor Management - Translate internal research needs into clear expert profiles and outreach plans - Identify and onboard relevant vendors or expert networks based on use case and target profile - Guide vendors in sourcing the right experts and ensure fitment to research goals - Ensure operational excellence with vendors through clear SLAs, short TATs, and call quality monitoring - Evaluate new vendors or research methods to address niche or emerging sectors Cross-Team Coordination - Act as a research operations bridge between Benchmarks and Consulting business units - Enable sharing of expert call notes, transcripts, and key insights across teams to avoid duplication - Set up structured processes to align research priorities and enable joint access to research output - Proactively identify overlapping themes across teams and create unified expert engagement plans Quality Control & Research Best Practices - Listen to sample expert interviews to evaluate depth, relevance, and insight quality - Share constructive feedback with vendors to improve expert match and interview rigor - Coach internal team members on framing effective research questions and structuring calls - Maintain standards for research call documentation, transcription, and synthesis Operational Execution & Monitoring - Track and report key operational metrics: expert sourcing rate, TAT, vendor performance, and cost efficiency - Ensure all research interactions are properly logged and compliant with internal data protocols - Troubleshoot execution bottlenecks, rescheduling issues, or vendor gaps swiftly - Institutionalise feedback loops to continuously improve expert engagement workflow Qualifications & Experience: - 47 years of experience in expert networks, research operations, consulting, or knowledge services - Proven experience in managing vendors and internal delivery stakeholders simultaneously - Deep understanding of B2B primary research techniques, expert sourcing, and industry mapping - Strong process orientation and ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel - Comfortable working across sectors like consumer internet, digital platforms, and private equity-backed businesses Mindset - High accountability and ownership of quality and timeliness - Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to think critically and suggest innovative approaches to research problems - Comfort with ambiguity and evolving stakeholder needs Why Join Us - High-impact role at the intersection of strategy, research, and product thinking - Opportunity to shape the research backbone for Indias most strategic digital economy decisions - Exposure to multi-sector strategy, expert networks, and productized research at scale - Fast-paced environment with a steep learning curve and cross-functional collaboration
