Job Role: Senior Investment Banking Associate.

About Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Banking Associate with strong expertise in financial modelling built from scratch and hands-on experience across both real estate and non-real estate sectors. The role involves independent client handling and end-to-end execution of fundraising (Debt/Equity) and M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving transactions, delivering high-quality financial analysis, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, investors, and lenders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Deal Execution

- Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts and associates, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team environment.

- Independently oversee deal execution, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

- Review and ensure quality of financial models, valuation outputs, and transaction documents.

2. Financial Modelling & Valuation (Core Focus)

- Build detailed financial models from scratch for fundraising, M&A, and valuation assignments.

- Develop and review integrated financial models including revenue build-ups, cost structures, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and scenario/sensitivity analyses.

- Prepare valuation models using DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches.

- Handle financial modelling for both real estate (commercial, residential, mixed-use) and non-real estate sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, and technology.

3. Fundraising & M&A Transactions

- Manage the end-to-end execution of debt, equity, and structured finance transactions.

- Lead preparation of investor pitch decks, information memorandums, teasers, and financial annexures.

- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, data rooms, and investor queries.

- Assist in deal structuring, negotiation, evaluation of competing offers, and timely closures.

4. Sector Coverage & Project Evaluation

- Evaluate projects across real estate and non-real estate sectors, assessing commercial viability, risks, and return metrics.

- Conduct in-depth industry, market, and macroeconomic research to support transaction rationale and investor discussions.

- Prepare detailed business plans, projections, and investment notes tailored to investor and lender requirements.

5. Investor & Lender Management

- Leverage and expand relationships with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, and institutional investors.

- Actively engage with investors and lenders during deal execution, presentations, and negotiations.

- Support deal origination through continuous networking and investor outreach.

6. Client Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships independently.

- Understand client objectives and deliver customized financial and transaction solutions.

- Provide strategic advice on capital structuring, valuation expectations, and transaction timelines.

7. Stakeholder Communication & Documentation

- Oversee communication with external stakeholders, ensuring consistency and accuracy of information shared.

- Supervise preparation of investor communications, factsheets, Q&A documents, and transaction-related disclosures.

8. Process Improvement & Reporting

- Identify opportunities to improve financial modelling templates, deal execution processes, and internal workflows.

- Develop standardized and ad-hoc Excel-based tools, dashboards, and reports for management and client reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.

- 3+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or a related field.

- Strong hands-on experience in building financial models from scratch.

- Proven ability to handle clients independently and manage transactions end-to-end.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to interpret complex financial data.
