Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Head of Data Science to lead our advanced analytics and AI initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI/LLMs, and applied data science-combined with strong business acumen and the ability to engage at the CXO level. The successful candidate will define the organization's data science strategy, oversee the execution of cutting-edge solutions, and act as a thought leader in driving digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

- Define and execute the long-term data science and AI roadmap, aligned with business priorities.

- Represent data science in executive and board-level discussions, influencing strategic direction.

- Partner with CXOs and business leaders to identify opportunities where AI/ML can deliver measurable impact.

- Serve as the thought leader for Generative AI and LLM adoption, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

Team Development

- Build, lead, and mentor a team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI researchers.

- Establish a center of excellence for AI/ML and data science practices.

- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.

AI/ML & Innovation

- Lead design and deployment of advanced machine learning, deep learning, and LLM-based solutions.

- Oversee model lifecycle management, including training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

- Drive adoption of MLOps practices to ensure scalable and production-grade ML systems.

- Spearhead initiatives in NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems, and generative AI.

Collaboration & Business Impact

- Act as a bridge between data science and business strategy, ensuring solutions deliver ROI.

- Partner with product, engineering, and technology teams to integrate AI-driven capabilities into core platforms.

- Present analytical insights and AI-driven opportunities to executive stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:

- 8-10 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with at least 3+ years in leadership roles.

- Proven expertise in LLMs, NLP, deep learning, and advanced ML techniques.

- Strong proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with any cloud AI platforms (AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML) and big data ecosystems (Spark, Databricks).

- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex AI concepts to executive leadership and drive buy-in at the CXO level.

- Strong background in AI/ML strategy, governance, and ethical AI practices.

- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and leadership skills

Skills:

- Experience building enterprise-grade AI/LLM applications at scale.

- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and prompt engineering.

- Exposure to AI regulation, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks.

- Industry experience in healthcare, fintech, or other AI-driven sectors
