Role Summary
We are seeking a high-impact Business Development Manager to drive enterprise seller acquisition and revenue growth on a B2B platform.
The role involves onboarding selling and buying partners, managing key enterprise accounts, improving customer experience, and building long-term, value-driven relationships with sellers and buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Seller Acquisition & Growth
- Acquire and onboard enterprise sellers by developing a deep understanding of their business needs and objectives.
- Own revenue and acquisition targets for assigned enterprise accounts.
- Identify high-potential sellers, unique product selections, and growth opportunities to expand platform value.
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with enterprise sellers and buyers.
- Expand existing accounts by continuously proposing solutions aligned with seller and customer objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to sellers, ensuring sustained engagement and retention.
Partner Onboarding & Enablement
- Assist selling and buying partners with smooth onboarding and platform adoption.
- Ensure sellers are trained on processes, policies, and tools to enable successful participation.
- Monitor seller performance metrics and drive improvements where required.
Customer & Seller Experience
- Identify, manage, and execute projects aimed at improving seller and buyer experience.
- Proactively resolve issues, escalations, and complaints to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (operations, product, tech, finance) and external stakeholders.
Sales Operations & Process Adherence
- Ensure adherence to internal sales processes across the end-to-end sales lifecycle.
- Track account health, pipeline, and performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on account progress, risks, and opportunities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- 5-9 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, including team handling exposure.
- Prior experience in B2B E-commerce, B2B Aggregators/Marketplaces, Metals, or Industrial sectors is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of acquiring and managing enterprise or large B2B accounts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Go-getter mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Technical & Other Requirements
- Basic working knowledge of MS Office and documentation/reporting tools.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across India as required
