KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Litigation - Ensure timely resolution of all notices raised for any Direct tax related concerns. - Ensure that all the hearings are in compliance to the policies. - Ensure legal stance of the organization is in compliance to plans and policies. - Ensure compliance in terms of statutory timelines. - Ensuring transfer pricing compliance, Preparation of tax and transfer pricing report for the purpose of audit. - Liasioning with finance operational / regional teams on support required for tax litigation. Tax Returns - Ensure all statutory compliances are taken care of while filing the return. - Ensure accuracy of all refund related assessments by tax authorities. Strategies to drive efficiency - Working on various tax projects with functions like supply services, finance to harness optimization and business efficiencies. - Co-ordinate with cross business/ cross function to ensure adequate and proactive responses to business opportunities and risk. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Internal Contacts - Finance (all teams} - Legal External Contacts - Tax Consultants - Tax Authorities - Auditors - Legal Counsels EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Essential - Qualified Chartered Accountant - 7-9 years' experience in finance function in any organization of strong repute. - Working experience in taxation function. - Strong knowledge of corporate taxation & compliances. - Strong knowledge of legal implications in taxation. - Knowledge of recent developments in taxation. Preferred - Post or pre-qualification LLB will be added an advantage. - Work experience in FMCG or E-commerce Industry.
