Role: - The Associate role is to support the execution of Trade Surveillance controls working in conjunction with the team in London to monitor NWM trading activities to ensure compliance with Market Conduct Policies. The role is responsible for provision of surveillance services to the NWM businesses and their service offerings, acting within the procedures of the Surveillance Operating Model, including following the review manual and escalation procedure, working with IT to ensure data integrity. Pro-actively identify potential or actual emerging market abuse type risks to ensure that the surveillance activities provide appropriate mitigation to manage the risks back within appetite. What the Business Does: The Role is in NWM COO India and will report to NA Your responsibilities: As an Associate your key responsibilities will be: - Developing ability to provide expert input on the market abuse policy and subsequent risk mitigation thereof - Analysing activity for potential flags and escalating appropriately. Assisting in providing in-depth analysis of alerts, including the use of market data, source system data, and market data.Be responsible for periodic testing of procedures, ensuring they're fit for purpose and being followed, as well as proactively identifying where standards can be enhanced and assisting in their effective implementation. - Contributing to improving existing Surveillance systems as well as assisting in driving new technological solutions. Support the development and implement of an annual surveillance programme of work that completes on time. - Supporting the long term surveillance strategy for NWM. The skills you will need: - CA/ MBA / Graduate with low to moderate exposure in Risk & Control with a cumulative Ops work-experience ranging between 4-5 years - Strong understanding of Compliance and Financial Services - Knowledge and experience of conduct requirements and regulation - Excellent logical, analytical skill and attention to detail - Knowledge of trading process and products - Understanding client centricity - Investment Banking Operations and knowledge - Strong Orbit & Comet knowledge and experience - Strong knowledge of MS Office- word and power point.
