Raw Material Procurement Lead - Petrochemical/Specialty Polymers

CONFIDENTIAL SUCCESSION LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY | RAW MATERIAL PROCUREMENT LEAD | MUMBAI (20-25 yrs)

- We are hiring for a confidential succession leadership role with a leading Petrochemical / Specialty Polymers organization in Mumbai.

- This is a high-impact strategic leadership position offering an opportunity to lead the Raw Material Procurement function and shape the organization's long-term procurement strategy, global sourcing, commercial excellence and business value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the overall Procurement Strategy aligned with business objectives

- Lead procurement of Petrochemical Feedstock, Bulk & Liquid Chemicals and other critical raw materials

- Drive Global Sourcing & Strategic Supplier Management across international markets

- Lead high-value commercial negotiations, long-term procurement contracts and strategic sourcing agreements

- Manage imports, shipping, LC, customs, tankage, transportation and end-to-end logistics

- Monitor global commodity markets, pricing trends, forecasting and geopolitical developments

- Drive Category Management, Supplier Development & Procurement Excellence

- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Commercial and Supply Chain teams

- Lead procurement transformation, governance, process optimization and digital initiatives

- Build, mentor and lead a high-performing procurement organization

Ideal Candidate:

- 18-22 years of progressive leadership experience in Procurement

- Strong experience in Petrochemical / Chemical / Polymer / Process Manufacturing

- Proven expertise in Strategic Procurement, Global Sourcing & Commercial Negotiations

- Hands-on experience in Petrochemical Feedstock, Bulk & Liquid Chemicals procurement

- Strong understanding of Commodity Markets, Forecasting & Supply Risk Management

- Exposure to Shipping, Imports, LC, Customs & Tankage Contracts

- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and decision-making skills

- Experience in Trading / Commercial Contract Management will be an advantage

- Engineering Degree; MBA/PGDM preferred
