Job Description - Sales Manager (Network Switches)

Experience Required: 6 - 13 Years

Industry: Networking / IT Hardware / Network Switches

Salary: As per industry standards

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in network switches or networking products. The candidate must have prior experience in selling network switches to enterprises, corporates, partners, or distributors.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and managing channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive sales for network switches and related networking solutions in the assigned territory.

- Identify and onboard new clients, channel partners, and system integrators.

- Manage existing accounts and ensure repeat business.

- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable networking solutions.

- Conduct product demos and technical presentations with support from the technical team.

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.

- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and sales pipeline.

- Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and marketing teams.

Mandatory Requirements

- Experience in network switches sales is mandatory.

Strong understanding of:

- L2/L3 switches

- Managed & unmanaged switches

- PoE / non-PoE switches

- Networking protocols (VLAN, STP, QoS, etc.)

- Existing client or channel network in the networking industry.

- Proven achievement of sales targets in IT networking domain.

Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline (Technical background preferred).

- MBA in Marketing (optional but desirable).

- 5-12 years of proven sales experience in network switches / IT networking products.

Skills Required

- Strong technical understanding of networking products.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.

- Target-driven and results-oriented approach.

- Good presentation and reporting skills.
