Position: Procurement Manager

Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain / Head of Procurement

Department: Procurement & Sourcing

Role Summary

As the Procurement Manager for our company in the coffee/agro-commodities value chain, you will lead sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and cost optimisation for key raw materials (e.g., green coffee beans, agro inputs, packaging materials, logistics) to support manufacturing, trading, and export operations. You will work cross-functionally with operations, quality, finance, export/trading, logistics, and sustainability teams to ensure reliable supply, quality compliance, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.(Candidate should have worked in coffee in the past or in the current company)

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the procurement strategy aligned with business goals

-balancing cost, quality, reliability, sustainability and supply- chain risk.

- End- to- end sourcing and procurement of raw materials including vendor identification, evaluation, selection, contracting and performance management.

- Monitor commodity markets and translate market intelligence into sourcing decisions andbudget forecasts.

- Negotiate supply contracts and manage supplier relationships. -

Coordinate with quality, operations and sustainability teams to ensure compliance and certification.

- Manage inventory levels in coordination with production and logistics.

- Work with finance to monitor procurement spend and cost reduction initiatives.

- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes

Coordinate with production, logistics, export and legal teams.

- Prepare regular procurement reports and present to management.

Candidate Profile / Qualifications

Education: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture or Supply Chain.

- MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement / Operations preferred.

Experience:

- 8-12 years of experience in procurement/sourcing roles in agro commodity /FMCG/manufacturing/trading.

- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, supplier development, and cost savings.

Skills & Competencies:

- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Strong analytical and market interpretation skills.

- Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and ERP systems
