Role & responsibilities:

- Create the future pathway of Mining & Power businesses

- Shape the financial strategy for a 50,000+ member workforce.

- Key person in Business Strategy development/formulation & implementation. Work closely with the Top Management in key business decisions & business plans.

- Enable high quality major investing decisions, including mergers & acquisitions, to advance the businesses and increase profitability of the organisation.

- Steer the strategic roadmap of the organisation & support the Top Management to conduct monthly Business Plan reviews and to implement corrective measures, as may be required. Implement financial best practices & ensure statutory audits & compliances.

- Capitalise on his professional network and communicate & build relationship with Investors & Top Management and Liaising with various banks and financial institutions to address issues and secure financing, as may be necessary.

- Data Analytics & appropriate proactive measures and guide the team members for adopting the right approach of dealing with issues relating to Treasury & Banking, Investments, Financial Reporting,

Capital Planning, Project/Capex Finance, Direct/Indirect Taxation, Mergers & Acquisition, Insurance etc.

- Enterprise Risk Management for the organisation in the Management of risks associated with capital and financial accounting.

- Coach & Mentor the finance team members and ensure implementation of initiatives & interventions in the finances of the group companies. Responsible for the capability building of the Finance Tram & ensure critical talent pipeline.

- Stay ahead to create more value for the competitive landscape of the future.

- Responsible for implementation of technology and effect digital transformation. The IT team will work under his guidance on the overall digital interventions in terms of automation, analytics and data security and data privacy.

- Will also be responsible for adherence to corporate governance policies as well as overseeing legal and secretarial functions to ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile: From large-scale organisations and a reputation for excellence among Tier-1 financial institutions.
