Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute business development strategies for export markets, targeting automotive customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, manage RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes, and convert leads into profitable business.
- Build, nurture, and expand strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and potential areas for business expansion.
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and sustainable profitability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of new product development and serial production launches.
- Prepare and present business proposals, risk assessments, and sales forecasts to senior management for decision-making.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market share, and business development effectiveness, recommending improvements as needed.
- Ensure timely collections and manage receivables from both domestic and international customers.
- Build and mentor a high-performing business development team to achieve organizational objectives.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Metallurgy preferred); MBA in Sales/Marketing is desirable.
- 12-20 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the auto components industry, preferably with significant exposure to high pressure die casting and foundry operations.
- Proven track record of handling export markets, including direct customer engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive industry dynamics, customer requirements, and global markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Experience in working / managing cross-functional teams and leading new product introduction cycles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and data analysis for decision-making.
