
Role Overview
- We are looking for an experienced R&D leader from the IP surveillance ecosystem to lead the development of next-generation surveillance products, including IP Cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and Video Management solutions.
- The individual will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, building and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, working closely with global ODM/OEM partners, and establishing the complete R&D function from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary R&D organization covering Hardware, Firmware, Embedded Software, Platform Software, QA, and Product Engineering.
- Drive end-to-end product development across IP Cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and surveillance ecosystems.
- Define technology strategy, product architecture, engineering processes, and development roadmaps.
- Collaborate with ODM/OEM partners, including international technology partners, for product development and localization.
- Establish engineering best practices, documentation standards, testing frameworks, and quality processes.
- Lead hiring, capability building, performance management, and team development.
- Work closely with leadership on product strategy, technology investments, and market positioning.
- Drive certification and compliance initiatives including BIS, ER-BIS, STQC, and related regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies in AI-based surveillance, video analytics, face recognition, ANPR, and intelligent monitoring systems.
Required Experience
- 12-18 years of experience in product engineering and R&D leadership.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience within the IP surveillance industry.
- Proven ownership of surveillance product development involving both Cameras and NVR/DVR platforms.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams spanning hardware, firmware, and software development.
- Strong understanding of surveillance technologies and ecosystems.
- Experience working with ODM/OEM partners and product localization programs.
- Ability to operate independently in a high-ownership, greenfield environment.
