
Job Description: Plant HR Manager
Department: Human Resources
Location: Dhule, Maharashtra
Reports To: Head - HR / Plant Head
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage all HR functions at the plant by ensuring compliance, fostering employee engagement, driving HR initiatives, and supporting business goals through effective manpower planning, employee relations, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Staffing:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant positions (staff & workmen).
- Ensure timely manpower availability as per production and expansion needs.
- Coordinate with recruitment partners and internal teams for candidate sourcing.
2. Employee Relations & Grievance Management:
- Build a harmonious and productive work environment at the plant.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain cordial relations with unions (if applicable) and participate in negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with IR practices and labor laws.
3. Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all labor laws and statutory requirements such as Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labor Act, etc.
- Oversee statutory documentation, inspections, and audits.
- Manage contractor compliance and verify contractor workforce records.
4. Training & Development:
- Conduct training needs analysis for plant staff and workmen.
- Plan and execute training programs on safety, skill development, and behavioral aspects.
- Maintain training calendars, attendance, and effectiveness metrics.
5. Employee Engagement & Welfare:
- Design and implement engagement initiatives to build employee morale and retention.
- Oversee welfare activities, canteen, transport, and other plant-level facilities.
- Drive communication platforms for employees and ensure high engagement scores.
6. HR Operations:
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, and overtime management.
- Coordinate with the payroll team for accurate and timely salary processing.
- Manage plant HR MIS and submit regular HR reports to management.
7. Health, Safety & Compliance Support:
- Collaborate with EHS team to ensure compliance with safety norms.
- Conduct safety awareness programs and support accident investigations.
8. Leadership & People Management:
- Mentor and guide the plant team.
- Drive a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
- 7 to 12 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in employee relations.
