Job Description: Technical Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of technology and software development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, project planning, stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, and technical team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and manage projects from initiation through planning, execution, release, and post-production support.

- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.

- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps.

- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Design, and Business teams for successful project execution.

- Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.

- Track project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.

- Maintain RAID logs and proactively identify risks and mitigation plans.

- Manage cross-functional and cross-team dependencies to ensure timely delivery.

- Work with Product Managers/Business Analysts to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans.

- Partner with technical teams to understand architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud infrastructure, and deployment dependencies.

- Coordinate testing, UAT, release management, production deployment, and post-release activities.

- Monitor project KPIs and engineering delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, throughput, sprint predictability, and release timelines.

- Prepare regular project status reports and communicate progress, risks, blockers, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

- Proactively identify bottlenecks and drive teams toward timely resolution.

- Manage scope changes, prioritization, timelines, and resource constraints.

- Ensure project documentation is maintained in tools such as Jira and Confluence.

- Drive continuous improvement in project management and software delivery processes.

- Coordinate with external vendors/partners where required.

- Ensure adherence to organizational quality, security, compliance, and engineering processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, IT Project Management, Program Management, Software Delivery, or a similar role.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies.

- Strong experience working with Jira and Confluence or similar project management/documentation tools.

- Proven experience managing multiple technical projects or workstreams simultaneously.

- Strong understanding of software development and technical delivery processes.

- Experience working with Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams.

- Strong knowledge of project planning, estimation, scheduling, risk management, issue management, and dependency tracking.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have:

- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, APIs, microservices, databases, and system architecture.

- Experience with product-based/SaaS or technology organizations.

- Experience managing customer-facing or enterprise technology projects.

- Knowledge of project reporting and dashboard tools.

- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and third-party technology partners.
