Role Overview:
The Accounts & Finance Manager will serve as the primary lead for the firm's financial operations and regulatory health. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, manage complex tax filings, and represent the company's interests during litigation and assessment proceedings. You will work closely with senior leadership and external auditors to ensure that all financial reporting is accurate, compliant, and aligned with current statutory requirements. Your work will directly influence the firm's financial stability and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring seamless operations in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Oversee the filing and reconciliation of Goods & Services Tax (GST) to maintain full compliance with indirect tax regulations.
- Lead the preparation and submission of Direct Tax filings, ensuring optimal tax planning and timely compliance.
- Represent the company in tax litigation matters, coordinating with legal counsel and tax authorities to resolve disputes effectively.
- Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to identify potential risks and implement corrective financial controls.
- Provide strategic insights to management regarding tax implications of business decisions to support long-term growth.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Direct and Indirect Taxation portfolios within a corporate environment.
- Proven ability to handle tax litigation and assessment proceedings with regulatory authorities, showcasing strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software and advanced Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets for reporting purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex financial data to stakeholders and coordinate effectively with external auditors and legal teams.
- A professional qualification such as CA or a Master's degree in Finance, complemented by 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a finance leadership role.
- Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment in Gurugram, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professional integrity under tight deadlines.
