Role Overview:

As the Fraud Management Tech Lead, you will lead initiatives focused on protecting network operations from fraud. You will support the creation of fraud strategies, analyze fraud trends, develop insights, and collaborate with multiple teams to minimize risk.

This role combines fraud prevention leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Fraud Prevention & Strategy:

- Support in defining and implementing the companys fraud prevention policies and processes.

- Assist in shaping the long-term fraud prevention strategy for Rakuten Mobile.

- Monitor potential fraud risks and recommend timely preventative measures.

- Ensure alignment with relevant guidelines, regulations, and internal policies.

Operational & Analytical Responsibilities:

- Support the rollout and maintenance of fraud-prevention systems (no deep technical skills requiredfocus on operational oversight).

- Analyze internal and external fraud-related data to identify trends, root causes, and risks.

- Create reports that highlight fraud incidents, patterns, and recommended solutions.

- Participate in user acceptance testing for new fraud-related tools or products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with engineering, operations, business systems, and management teams to address fraud issues.

- Collaborate with global and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

- Present findings, risks, and solutions clearly to leadership and internal teams.

- Help build and support a unified fraud intelligence team with shared goals.

Risk & Compliance Awareness:

- Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fraud and compliance.

- Apply industry standards, best practices, and fraud prevention principles.

- Ensure transparency and proper documentation for audits and compliance checks.

Required Experience & Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in roles related to implementation, operations, or fraud management.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

- Understanding of network operations or telecom processes (high-level awareness).

- Ability to coordinate projects and collaborate with multiple teams.

- Experience working in cloud-based environments (conceptual understanding).
