Manager / Sr Manager - Power Plant Operations RAIN is seeking a Power Plant Operation Manager who'd systematically collect operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. The ideal candidate will set policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. And, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Operations of power plant. Role and Responsibilities: - Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Operations of power plant - Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency - Being a Power Plant Operation Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals - Additionally, ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet Safety and other required regulations - Plant is having the zero-discharge policy. Thus, should be responsible for the effluent generation, its neutralization and its effective usage for other purposes - Manage, control and guide employees and contract manpower to achieve maximum productivity with due importance to safety and environment requirements - Analyze the root causes for plant trips and provide suggestions for improvements to avoid Plant trips - Plan and maintain Operational consumables required for the section with optimum inventory without compromising plant availability - Propose/execute modification of plant and equipment to improve productivity/availability - Plan, prepare and administer departmental & section budgets - Record all events/activities and provide periodical reports to the management Required Technical and Professional Expertise: - Well experienced Power plant engineer having experience preferably in chemical / Fertilizer Plant based Power units. Preference will be given to the Engineer with Process plant experience along with Power plant - Well experienced on the Quality standards being followed in the Power plant operation - Well experience on the power plant efficiency calculations and ensuring the Optimum plant Operational efficiencies - Well experienced on the Planning of the Power plant activities, Coordination with the Maintenance departments for the maintaining reliability / availability of the plant & equipment's - Having Knowledge on Operating procedures & preparation / continuous upgradation of the Operational Procedures / Check lists / Order To Operate (OTOs) and the training the Teams on the same - Preferably Well Experience on the SAP modules & Standard Work permits systems - Having experience on the ISO 9000 & 14000 documentation is preferred - Experience on the System / Methods / Procedures related to Open access Power sales - Experience on the Coordination with the Agencies for the completing the annual inspection and certification of the Boilers and Pressure vessels - Having experience on the handling DM Plant operations and the chemicals Such as hydrochloric acids, Sulphuric acid, caustic, and ammonia - Capable of Identifying the Process Hazards and Mitigate risks of unsafe handling practices by reviewing the current systems, processes and applying best practices - Ensure Zero Incidents by ensure Safe work environment Required Qualification and Experience: - B. Tech / Diploma - Mechanical with Boiler Operation Engineer - B. Tech (Mechanical) with 15 years' / Diploma (Mechanical) with 20 Years experience preferably in Major Chemical / Fertilizer based power plant having more than 30 MWe capacity, out of which at least 5 Years as Head of Power Plant Operation - Preferably experienced on Waste Heat Recovery Boilers and Siemens Turbines - Preference for the National Power Plant Training Institute (NPTI) trainees - Should be directly from reputed organization, not from the operation & maintenance contracting firms.
