Radial - Senior Functional Analyst - Event Driven Architecture

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly strategic Senior Functional Analyst with strong experience in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) implementations. The role will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring accurate requirement translation and seamless implementation of scalable event-driven systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise in EDA, microservices, integration workflows, and enterprise-grade implementations, along with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Analysis

- Lead requirement workshops with business stakeholders, architects, and producer/consumer application teams.

- Define and structure EDA-based functional solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Ensure technical feasibility and optimal integration strategies.

- Translate complex business needs into structured event and process definitions.

2. Functional Documentation & Design

- Develop high-quality functional specifications, event definitions, and system workflows.

- Create detailed process flows, event models, data models, and integration design documents.

- Standardize documentation practices across functional teams.

- Ensure scalability, resilience, and performance considerations in functional design.

3. Build & Development Collaboration:

- Work closely with architects and engineering teams to ensure adherence to EDA principles.

- Support implementation of event sourcing, pub/sub patterns, and streaming workflows.

- Identify functional design gaps and recommend optimized integration solutions.

- Ensure alignment between event producers and consumers across systems.

4. Testing & Validation

- Lead UAT strategy with focus on event validation and data flow integrity.

- Develop UAT scenarios and validation frameworks specific to event-driven applications.

- Collaborate with QA and business teams to track defects and ensure production readiness.

- Validate system workflows before go-live to ensure data consistency and business accuracy.

Candidate Profile:

Experience:

5-10 years as a Functional Analyst / Business Analyst in:

- Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)

- Microservices-based systems

- Enterprise integration projects

- Experience in logistics domain is preferred.

- Proven ability to conduct requirement workshops and convert business needs into event-based functional designs.

- Experience working in high-scale, cross-functional environments.

Technical Competencies:

Strong understanding of:

- Event sourcing

- Pub/Sub architecture

- Event streaming platforms

- Microservices integration patterns

- Experience in event streaming technologies such as Kafka / Confluent.

- Exposure to cloud-based event management platforms.

- Strong documentation skills (Use Cases, Event Modeling, Process Flows, API integrations).

- Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence.

- Familiarity with Java is an added advantage.
