We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager & Controller to join our rapidly expanding E-commerce sportswear organization in Bengaluru.
This is a vital leadership position responsible for ensuring robust financial governance, providing critical controllership support, and driving data-informed decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas:
- The role requires close partnership with the business, supply chain, and leadership teams, with core duties including:
- Financial Controllership: Manage all day-to-day finance and controllership operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and detailed monthly closing activities.
- Process Implementation: Establish and implement strong claims and account reconciliation processes.
- Define and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and review mechanisms for key finance controllership processes, in collaboration with the 3rd party accounting and reporting team.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure strict adherence to statutory requirements, maintain rigorous internal controls, and coordinate all internal and external audit processes.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to optimize processes and enhance customer AP/AR experience.
- Management Reporting: Prepare detailed management reports and dashboards that provide clear, actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making.
- External Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary finance contact for external partners, including banks, external auditors, vendors, and marketplace finance teams.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications:

Experience:
- 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in Finance or Controllership, preferably within the E-commerce, Retail, or Consumer Brands industries.
Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance is required.
Expertise:
- Deep understanding of financial statements, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Process Management:
- Proven ability to set up and manage strong financial processes, with experience coordinating 3rd party accounting/reporting teams (experience with Big 4 is a strong asset).
Technical Proficiency:
- Data-driven approach utilizing advanced MS-Office Suite skills, alongside strong working knowledge of Accounting and ERP tools, specifically Zoho Books and Tally.
